One of the most family-friendly destinations in the world, there really is nothing better than exploring Bali with the whole fam. Filled with picture-perfect beaches, world-class eats and endless opportunities for adventure, when it comes to planning your dream vacay – the sky’s the limit. But with so much on offer, finding the perfect base for your trip can be tricky.

Luckily, we know just the place that’s guaranteed to keep those temper tantrums at bay – and of course, keep Mums and Dads holiday happy too.

Club Med Bali

If you’re looking for a resort that you never have to leave to have fun, you’ve come to the right place. We were lucky enough to call Club Med home for four dreamy nights – and to say we soaked up every hour of every day would be an understatement. The top-notch facilities will hint as to why…

Name a child who doesn’t love a waterslide – and a parent who doesn’t love the opportunity to sunbathe in peace? Located on Benoa’s iconic stretch of sand, Club Med Bali offers everything you need – and then some. Boasting a jaw-dropping range of activities from morning ‘til night, little ones can spend their days swinging on the trapeze, splashing in the pool and busting moves at a kid-friendly foam party, while Mums and Dads can enjoy plenty of ‘me time’ sipping cocktails by the (adults-only!) Zen Pool, or relaxing into a blissful treatment at the dreamy onsite spa. Plus, with age-specific kids clubs and activities – we’re talking talent shows, sports, cultural crafts and plenty of opportunities for adventure, it’s no wonder this award-winning resort always has us coming back for more. When hunger strikes, grab satay sticks from the food truck roaming the grounds – before heading down to the ultra-chill Beach Bar for one of Bali’s iconic sunsets and a free-flow cocktail or two.

And the fun doesn’t end when the sun goes down. By night, take your pick from an international buffet dinner – perfect for even the pickiest of eaters, or an evening of al fresco dining by the pool. After dinner, the atmosphere dials up a notch as you settle in for a nightly talent show followed by pool parties, DJ sets and a few too many Bintangs. Leading the organised mayhem with unrivalled enthusiasm are Club Med's legendary G.Os. As well as being trained in childcare, they double as dancers and performers for the evening entertainment and are on duty from breakfast till bedtime. Convinced yet?

When you’re not soaking up the countless activities on offer, rest assured you’ll be sleeping well. Equal parts modern and locally inspired, the rooms here come with views of the sparkling Indian Ocean thanks to their private balconies. The spacious stays (big enough for any toddler to run around in) are designed to fit the needs of any guest – no matter your family size, budget or pillow preference. They have all the necessities, too – comfortable king beds, air conditioning and most importantly – a fully stocked mini-bar.

Activities, sunsets and satay sticks aside, our absolute favourite thing about Club Med is the chance to really slow down and connect. With plenty to keep you busy – both in and out of the ocean, this all-inclusive escape is where to go when you don’t feel like leaving. What we experienced was a real holiday, one that left us relaxed, refreshed and excited to return. So, what are you waiting for? School holidays have never looked so good!
