Are you getting ready for a business trip, vacation, or visit to your family? If so, figuring out what to pack may seem impossible. Trying to make sure you have everything you need while abiding by TSAs rules can be daunting, to say the least.

Also, accidents can happen, people lose certain things, and items can be stolen. Trying to replace these things can be expensive. If you want to avoid undesirable situations, one of the best things you can do is to plan ahead. Keep reading to learn about some of the best things to pack in your carry-on luggage to have stress-free travels.

Collapsible Water Bottle with Filter

If you have ever been on a plane, you know they can be dry. The little bottles of water they give you while on the plane usually aren't enough to ensure you stay hydrated throughout your flight. Purchasing a collapsible water bottle with a filter will be beneficial. You can fill it up with tap water once you make it through the security checkpoints. Even when these are filled up, they will take up much less room than traditional, reusable bottles.

Medications

If you decide to put your needed medicine in the luggage you check, there is a risk they will be stolen. However, if your luggage is lost, you may find it difficult to refill if you are too far from home. Along with your prescriptions, make sure you take any over-the-counter medications you may require during the flight, along with essential oils that may help you get through. This is advice provided by professionals like D. Gary Young.

Phone Charger

Regardless of how great your phone's battery life is, never assume it will have enough power to make it to your hotel. Make sure you keep your charger with you just in case the phone requires a boost. This is especially true if you have all the information you need to get where you need to go in your email.

Documents Required for Your Trip

You need to keep your flight tickets, passport, and wallet all out and accessible. If you have physical tickets (for any event you plan to attend on your trip), invitations with addresses, or other papers that don't have a digital version, make sure you put them in your carry-on. It is also a good idea to print out your itineraries, directions, and tickets that are stored on your phone, too, just in case you need them and don't have access to your phone.

Valuable Items

Airports and airlines are working hard to prevent luggage theft. While this is true, these incidents still occur. You should keep your computer, jewelry, camera, and other expensive or luxury items with you all the time. Even clothing has been stolen from suitcases in the past. Make sure if you splurge on something, you put it in your carry-on.

Entertainment

Unless spending time looking out the airplane window is enough to keep you entertained during the flight, make sure you take along a game, magazine, book, or some other type of amusement. Just stay away from larger hardcover books that are going to weigh your bag down. Better options include an audiobook or e-reader. Just make sure to take along a magazine or physical book for taking off and landing, which is when your electronics have to be put away.

Extra Pair of Underwear

Make sure you keep a change of underwear in your carry-on just in case your luggage is lost. It is also beneficial if you want to freshen up after your flight.

As you can see, there are more than a few things you need to take along in your carry-on when you are on a flight. When you pack the right things, you can feel confident that you will have a good flight and not experience any issues while on the plane or after you reach your destination.
