The concept of family style sharing is embraced at WAHAHA. Pak Hendra started the restaurant back in 2009 as a food lover, but also a home cook with a passion for BBQ and all thing pork. Infact, WAHAHA embraces the nose-to-tail eating concept where nothing is wasted and every part of the pig is celebrated. With pigs being widely bred throughout Bali and pork featuring heavily in Balinese cuisine, the inspiration for his restaurant is everywhere.
What should you order when you’re at WAHAHA? The WAHAHA pork ribs of course! This is their most beloved dish and also their signature.They ensure only the highest quality pork ribs trimmed of fat which are then marinated in Balinese spices and barbequed to perfection. For the BBQ Sauce, they use a specialised Indonesian sweet sauce. The result is sweet peppery and juicy ribs, is your mouth watering yet?
Not only do WAHAHA guarantee use of only the highest quality ingredients to ensure their dishes are consistent, they also have a holistic philosophy against using added MSG and vestin. When making dishes like their Pumpkin Pao, no additives or food colourings are used. WAHAHA’s recipes are created to enhance the natural flavours of the quality produce used. They have recently begun using herbs grown in their very own herb farm with the vision of fully sustaining their spices from their own gardens which use worm farming and composting.
