When I started planning my 7th trip to Bali, where should we stay? The only rules we have when we book accommodation in Bali;

1) It has to be somewhere we haven't stayed before.

2) It has to be walking distance to Seminyak Square, Ku De Ta, and Sea Circus.

So Villa Lulito was perfectly located, right in the middle of the triangle between Seminyak Square, Ku De Ta, and Sea Circus.

Overview of Villa Lulito

Villa Lulito is a 4 bedroom, all en-suite, stand alone villa with 4 pavilions;

  • A 2-story pavilion with the bedrooms
  • An open kitchen, dining, living pavilion
  • A more closed dining & living pavilion
  • An open pool house pavilion

Decor and Layout

The main feature of this villa is the large, beautiful pool right in the middle of the 4 pavilions. The decor is very white and blue, and the buildings are colonial in style. All 4 bedrooms have their own bathroom, with the main bedroom and children's bedroom upstairs sharing a large dressing room. Which is fine for parents staying there with children, but can be a bit strange when it's a group of friends.

Breakfast & Catering

This villa is a stand alone villa managed by Elite Havens. There was no 'breakfast included' option, instead the villa manager Gusti takes a cash float on arrival, and you can request literally anything you would like the chef to cook. On arrival we went to the ATM and handed over 5,000,000 IDR (around AUD$500). This would cover our breakfasts, as well as the beers, drinks and snacks that we had asked them to stock the kitchen with. At the end of the stay, we tallied up the total spent and I had to pay a little extra. Not bad for 5 days of drinks, mixers, breakfasts, snacks and rides around Seminyak.

Breakfasts for us each morning was a mix of delicious fresh fruits, pastries, juices (not fresh, but normal for Bali), and either omelettes with mushrooms, ham, cheese & tomato, or Nasi Goreng. You really can't go past a Nasi Goreng for breakfast while you're in Bali. Basically fried rice with a fried egg on top, with prawn crackers. And at Villa Lulito they made the prawn crackers fresh - they were absolutely delicious. So warm, fresh & crispy, we requested them for afternoon snacks as well.

Of course you are free to take your own food and drinks into the villa as well. Whenever we visit from Australia, we take some duty free alcohol with us to mix with mixers and drink around the pool. Another highlight of Villa Lulito is that the staff know how to mix up cocktails using your spirits.

Location

The villa has a vehicle on standby with a driver to drive you anywhere within Seminyak for free. You just pay to cover the petrol at the end of the stay, which wasn't much at all. This was very handy, especially being able to send a message to the group WhatsApp group (which included the driver and concierge) to collect us after massages, shopping or dinner.

Sleeping

The beds are all comfortable, each of the people we were staying with commented on how comfortable the beds were. The showers had good pressure and nice toiletries. Having a team on hand at the villa all day meant we could also choose when we would like the rooms made up, and they were made up in the morning and again at turn down service when we went to dinner.

Villa Lulito is absolutely beautiful. And it's in the perfect spot, equidistant from Seminyak Square, Ku De Ta, and Sea Circus - the Seminyak golden triangle.

Definitely worth a try!
