So grab your swimmers, prep your hottest playlist and get ready to switch to island time with this list of some of the island’s hottest destinations.
Melasti Beach
If you’re looking for those FOMO-inducing holiday pics, look no further than Melasti Beach. The picturesque drive down the limestone cliff is almost as impressive as the stunning views at the bottom – and with the epic Palmilla beach club sitting just steps from the waves, your hardest decision will be where to unwind. Think: powdery white sand, turquoise waters and the gentle sway of a nearby palm tree – now that’s the life.
Seminyak Beach
Beginning on the outskirts of buzzing Kuta and stretching 5km up to the coastal corners of Canggu, Seminyak Beach is a holiday destination in itself. By day, beach babes and surfers can be found lazing on beanbags or catching waves, and by night, Seminyak’s finest flock to the beachfront to watch one of Bali’s famous sunsets. Expect colourful beach bars, 5-star hotels, world-famous beach clubs and some of Bali’s very best restaurants just steps from the sand. You’re welcome.

Sanur Beach
If it’s a leisurely day at the seaside you’re after, it’s time to head to Sanur for a laid-back day of fun in the sun. Other than a seemingly never-ending stretch of white sand, Sanur’s main attraction is a 5km coastal promenade that winds past luxurious resorts and idyllic beachfront cafes. Take a dip in the clear, calm waters and try out some of the watersports on offer or if you’d prefer to keep your feet on dry land, hire a bicycle, take a romantic stroll along the beachfront or head down early for one of the island’s best sunrise views – you won’t regret it.
If you’re heading to Sanur, make sure you check out some of our favourite food spots in the area here.
Amed Beach
With its glittering black sands and stunning volcanic vistas, Amed isn’t your typical beachfront location. Home to one of the island’s most vibrant coral reefs, this East Bali beach town is understandably popular with divers and snorkelers. Known for its dramatic landscapes, you can expect palm-fringed shorelines and traditional fishing boats set against a backdrop of the mighty Mount Agung. Less busy than the beaches down south, Amed has a laidback vibe and is perfect if you’re looking to kick back and escape the crowds.
Bingin Beach
Boasting world-class waves and small sandy coves for swimming, the iconic Bingin Beach is a favourite for Bali’s sun soakers and surfers. It can be hard to find unless you know where you’re going – and you’ll need to be relatively fit to get there, but trust us when we say the trip down is worth it. Surrounded by surfer cafes, beach huts and shady warungs that offer food, drinks and shelter from the sun, this (almost) untouched beach is a tropical paradise. If you’re looking to make a trip of it, we’d recommend checking out one of the affordable beach stays or epic hotels that line the cliffside.
If you’re heading to Uluwatu, there’s a full day or more in-stall for you. We’ve got some of the hottest beach clubs, the best hotels and resorts, and our tips for some of the greatest venues to catch sunset too.
